Visit Whispering Christmas This Year

Whispering Christmas in Eaton, Ohio is one of the best Christmas lights displays I have been to. It's a drive-through light display that offers so much to look at. It has lights for the whole family to enjoy!

Whispering Christmas has been a holiday tradition since I was a little girl going with my parents. Now it is a tradition for Garrett and I to go at least once a year. Read and watch the video below to see a little bit of what you can expect.

Whispering Christmas started in 1987 with 800 lights as the display. They have grown to over 2 million lights and they add more and more displays each year. Every time we drive through we see something new or notice how they updated something. Some of the amazing displays they have are the 12 days of Christmas, The Wizard of Oz (I love this one), and Toyland! I also have a few favorites that I have had since I was a little girl like the beaver chopping down a tree, the elephant spraying water, and the reindeer flying over the road!

Before Covid-19 came into the world, Whispering Christmas had outdoor areas that you could walk around and look at. They used to have miniature house models of Disney characters, stuffed animals, and dolls celebrating Christmas (these used to be my favorite when I was little). They also have cabins that they used to use for a military tree display and another for pictures with Santa. Now Whispering Christmas is strictly a drive-through lights display, they do have volunteers close to the end handing out candy canes and dog treats. They also have Santa and Mrs. Claus sitting in a gazebo telling everyone Merry Christmas.

The lights display is open from November 25th - December 31st, open from 6-9:30 pm every night. Admission is free, however, they do ask for around a $5 donation so they can keep the lights going year after year. I will advise that weekends get busy and you may have to sit in line for a while, weekdays are a lot better if you can make that work. Garrett and I went on a Wednesday or Thursday night and we didn't have to sit in a super long line.

There are just many fun lights to see at this light display! It's fun for the whole family and the best part is that you can enjoy it from the comfort of your car. So get your Christmas pj's on, grab some hot chocolate, and make your way to Whispering Christmas to see these beautiful lights.
